What are the Minimum and Maximum Values of the KeepAlive Parameters?
- Different flavours of Linux/Unix may have different values but these common ranges can be used as an indication:
- TCP_KEEPIDLE time (seconds): 1-32767, but normally any value less than 10 is silently taken to be 10.
- TCP_KEEPINTVL interval (seconds): 1-32767.
- TCP_KEEPCNT count (times): 1-32767. (N.B. The maximum value may be lower if running on a virtual machine.)
