Allow Directory Owner to Access all Files in a Publicly Writable Directory:
chmod g+s DIRECTORY
- Make all new files created in the directory DIRECTORY have their group set to the directory’s group, thus allowing access by the directory owner.
- Doesn’t apply to files that were written into the directory before the chmod command was run.
- Must be run by the owner of the directory or root.
